Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Orakcal app, run by Hunter Levesque ("we", "us"). By using Orakcal you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Not medical advice
Orakcal is a tool for tracking food, water and weight and for estimating calorie and nutrient targets. It is not medical advice, nutrition counseling, or a substitute for a qualified health professional, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to a professional before making significant changes to your diet or weight, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating. If tracking is unsafe or distressing for you, stop using the app.
Nutrition information
Orakcal may suggest food names, serving sizes and nutrition values from sources such as public databases (including Open Food Facts and USDA data), product labels, and curated averages. Nutrition varies by brand, preparation and serving, and we do not guarantee that any value is complete, current or accurate for the food you eat. You are responsible for checking and editing values before you save or log them.
Product information from barcode scans comes from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License.
Your account and your data
You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your device secure. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app: do not try to access other people's data, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
Price
Orakcal is currently free. If we ever offer paid features, we will tell you clearly in the app before you pay for anything.
Changes and availability
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app. We try to keep Orakcal available and your data safe, but the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on information in the app.
